Hundertwasser’s flag has little recognition here AFAIK. The second link is to the Tinorangitiratanga movement’s flag and, while I love the design, I cannot endorse their separatist politics.
There are also this which represents many of our sports teams and this which I think looks better with the central stripe as white (to represent Aotearoa’s meaning: land of the long white cloud).
Each to their own, though.
In regards to the OP - I’d see the woman as several sheets to the wind. It’s always embarrassing when Kiwi reporters *expect *praise from visitors, especially when they’ve only just landed.

Well that’s alright. These message boards are so indicative of ones character. as long as the people I live and work with see my actions, I guess somehow I’ll manage. And the occasional new acquaintance.
