Fucking maskholes and vaxholes

I’m thinking that if these MAGAtrash get hassled enough by the store and other customers, they’ll eventually change their attitude toward wearing masks. I don’t think it would take much time.

MAGAtrash WON’T change on their own. There needs to be external pressure, I think.

I salute your optimism, but they have their own version of reality. Confronting them with actual reality is just as likely to make them feel vindicated that The Mask Is The Virus or The Vaccine Has The Microchip, or whatever bollocks is already filling their heads

You’re 155,000 off…

I was allowing for the first batch of deaths that preceded the awareness that masks were 100% necessary. So I intended to subtract about 50K from the current headstonecount.

The other 100K are just me being behind (!!!) the latest acceleration in the Trumpdemic. Or is that the saytwodemic? They both seem to agree the only good American is a defiant, sick, or dead American.

The good news is defiance leads to sickness and death. But not enough death soon enough to prevent unacceptable collateral damage among the responsible / sane folks.

Among the responsible/sane, and lots of the older folks.

Who needs old people, amirite?

Getting hassled won’t change their attitude. At best, it’ll change their behavior (which might be good enough).

Maybe getting hassled won’t, but I wouldn’t mind seeing a few rounds of “getting ejected from the building,” just to make sure.

And it’s not so much minds I want to see changed as behavior

Here’s some of that. May contain Brain Worms:

And I agree, there should be some swift consequences for maskholes, but the problem I have with all of this is that, in challenging an aggressive idiot, not only is the poor retail employee put at risk of assault, but they also have to put themselves in a situation to be sprayed by spittle from the shouting, screaming maskhole, in the middle of a pandemic.

Again, that’s what the cops are for.

And again, is that the best use of cops?

I mean, actually, I’ll answer that myself:
Maybe. On reflection, I think I’d rather know that police are turning maskholes away from a busy supermarket than wasting their time trying to stop people going for a walk in the woods, in complete safety.

If wearing masks is as important to stopping this pandemic or even saving a few lives as we’ve been told, then yes, it’s an excellent use of cops.

Seattle cop, massive maskhole:

They do, sometimes, when they show up.

I kinda get a guilty pleasure from watching some videos on

The latest I giggled at vs cried is:

(I open via right click as I go down the main group)

(not everything posted on the main sub is the Public Freaking Out but if you go back far enough there were tons of the insurrection videos posted, lots of “Karen” and the occasional “Chad/Kevin” videos and some cute videos just to break up the outrage.)

I open via right click comments as I go down the main group.

(reading too many places so… it took too long to edit once I went “Duh, what am I opening via right click”.)

Most stores don’t have their employees’ backs. If these people confront them or start any assault, the employee is probably getting fired. I always keep in mind that if I’m seeing this, there must be a hidden accomplice (accessory before the fact?) filming this somewhere. The Ken/Karen/Chad is the bait while the other one films. Who wants to be internet famous for minimum wage? Keep in mind that they probably won’t stop going after you or your employer until they can verify you are fired anyway.

I hope to Og I never encounter these A-holes… but if they are coming after me / assaulting me and trying to force a fight … if I’m going to lose my job over this anyway… I’d much rather grab the phone and throw it up on top of the roof of the store or some other nearby building. I’m probably wrong, but I bet the bait actor calms down instantly after the Director says, “Cut!” and the camera stops filming him/her.

For a while we employed security guards. Not that we gave them any more authority to do anything, but theoretically we could have used armed guards.

needscoffee, please do not copy and paste newspaper stories in their entirety. That is a copyright violation, clearly beyond the limits of fair use. I have deleted the quote but left the link to the story.

Thanks,

It was not copied in its entirety, but okay. Not sure why you removed my description of the incident, though.

This software doesn’t do a good job of separating quotes from poster content. A slight indent is not visually significant enough, IMO. I want friggin’ quote boxes!

I live quite remote in a single family home. It’s just my Wife and I. I had an electrician come about a week ago. I was ready for him (took 2 months to get him here). I had a mask laid out, I usually just leave them in my car. But then he called “I’m stuck in your driveway”. So I put on boots and coat and rushed out to see what was up. I forgot my mask. I did go back to get it, and pulled electrician out with my plow truck and winch.
