That is remote indeed!
Holy shit; they’re still out there:
Beautiful!
Woman: “He’s violating my rights!”
Chorus: “NO HE’S NOT!”
Here’s the article about it:
Entitled assholes just found more reasons to be entitled assholes.
Oh, I read about them! One of the women said she’d become Lyft user instead, and Lyft said, nope, you’re not, because we won’t have you as a customer.
I’m somewhat amazed that Bank of America was aggressively enforcing their mask policy. Good for them.
Some of the news stories are now reporting that her name is Wright instead of White. I guess she mistakenly thought she had Wright privilege.
The dash cam video makes it look worse than just reading about it.
Billion-dollar business idea: selling roller skates to maskholes.
Apparently that particular “Karen” (named Cindy ) is a well-known local racist whose been in the news before.
My last client yesterday was a Karen!! She wore a mask coming into the building (signage warns police will be called if anyone enters without a mask) but then she handed the receptionist a manila folder, telling her she wanted me to read this material and then she was sure I’d be willing to see her without a mask.
It had been a long day. The manila folder was full of blog post type crap explaining about how masks rob us of our precious oxygen, as well as some posts about how the vaccinations being offered are poison.
I wrote a note and instructed the receptionist to hand it to her in 5 minutes. Meanwhile I loaded up my dogs and birds via the back door and headed home. The note read in part: “This Pandemic has been going on for a year now and I’m honestly sick and tired of idiots like you who think they are smarter than the scientists who are studying COVID-19. I want nothing to do with you, with or without a mask. Take your business and your “ideas” elsewhere.”
I wholeheartedly approve.
You weren’t at least tempted to stick around and see her head explode?
Tempted? Yeah, but no. It had been a long day.
I’d approve if the poor receptionist wasn’t left to deal with her reaction. I’ve been in her situation, once had a guy scream at me for an hour while I was completely alone in the office and I could not fix his problem. The next day he came in during normal business hours to bitch some more, while the counselors were dealing with him, I tried to sneak out the door and he chased me down the hall.
Love it! You should have started with, “Dear Karen…”
And left your receptionist to deal with a potentially unstable Karen?
