Fucking maskholes and vaxholes

… on a boat, where (unlike a plane) they can throw her overboard for non-compliance.

They can?

No, probably not. But I amused myself by imagining it.

“Can,” yes. “May,” no.

On the Haines - Juneau run there’s not many towns to drop people off.

In my required little speech to the customers about masks I always close with

… So let’s all cooperate and graduate. Anyone who refuses to play nice with others will be left behind somewhere along the way.

Thank you sooo much for coming with us today.

I’ve not yet had to drop some jerk off in Bumfuck on the way from Big City A to Big City B. But I’ll be sure to pick a place with very few transportation options back out. One nice thing about the continental US is we have LOTS of Bumfucks, so there’s sure to be one conveniently located. Convenient for me and the nice customers that is.

It’s far more likely we won’t get away from the gate before COVID Karen (regardless of gender) decides to act up. It’s kinda fun leaving them behind. It also serves pour encourager les autres.

And I amuse myself by imagining LSLGuy throwing one of his customers overboard somewhere over Bumfuck. And throw a mask out after said customer too. Maybe he can use it as a parachute.

So how frequently are you having to kick someone off a flight?

As the poster above said, “…like low-hanging fruit.”

Depends how many parachutes they’ve got.

Over the course of the pandemic, I’ve tossed a few people from my business who refused to comply with “the rules”.

Every damned one of them told me I couldn’t do that. And I told every damned one of them, that I just did.

I’m not a big guy, but when I’m in command mode there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that I’m deadly serious.

Tell somebody they’ve already had all their “free bites” with the Flight Attendants and this is their last chance to behave - Maybe one in 20 flights, so about 1 per 3,000 pax.

The police are coming to remove you now - Only twice … so far. So about 1 in 10K pax.

We get reports on the general troublemaker statistics company-wide and my experience seems to be typical.

A couple weeks ago by happenstance I had a group of 6 US Marshals traveling as a team to someplace. Not Air Marshals, the regular ground dude(tte)s. I was so hoping we’d have a maskhole light off enroute. Would’ve been an epic YouTube.

Instead, as per usual, everybody was safe and sane.

Any named Raylan by chance? :cowboy_hat_face:

Not that I recall. We make introductions, but it’s far more about learning faces than names.

In case that went over anyone’s head…from Wikipedia:

Raylan Givens is a fictional character created by American novelist and screenwriter Elmore Leonard. Givens is a Deputy U.S. Marshal and initially appeared in the novels Pronto and Riding the Rap.

Sure went over mine. Now if you’d said Earp I might have gotten the joke.

Never watched Justified?!

I’m a very boring guy. My handle really ought to be @BoringGuy. I read almost no fiction and watch zero movies and little TV.

Karen Sisco is another great Elmore Leonard hero who’s a US Marshall. Jennifer Lopez played her in Out of Sight, and Carla Gugino in a sadly short-lived ABC series. /tangent

He’s too busy Fighting Ignorance here to watch tv or read fiction. I, for one, appreciate it.-

Yes! Man, it is so sad that there will never be a new Elmore Leonard release. I’m rereading Pronto right now.
