Looks like that here, too. More power to 'em, I suppose. I took mine off. I masked diligently and consistently, but I’m pretty well tired of it.
I did, too, unless the place requests or encourages it. For those with the signs gone or saying no mask required if you’re vaxxed, I’m going face naked.

I don’t understand how that could even be a thing. Do they think that doing something that shows everyone that they are unvaccinated is some kind of victory, when the thing that they are doing is (partially) protecting them from the thing that they are not vaccinated for? So they admit that Covid is a real risk even while bragging that they have opted not to protect themselves from it? Or something? I have a headache.
This is just my anecdotal observations from a couple trips to stores and paying attention to who is wearing masks. Yes, I’m stereotyping them but around here, it’s really hard not to - you have bumper nuts on your lifted pickup with a huge Gadsden flag flying out of the bed and you can pretty safely know which way they swing politically.
A friend of mine got into the habit of mouthing insults while masked. I didn’t trust myself to try that.

Your problem is assuming they use logic in their decisions. That way lies madness.
I guess just the fact of being completely anti-logical is a way, to them, of pwning the libs. That’s a sorry thing to realize.
Personally, I am really triggered when a right-wing person hits themselves in the balls with a hammer. I really hate that, and hope that they don’t do it with regularity.
The problem is thinking it has anything to do with the virus. For them, the important issue is being told what to do by the libs.
They didn’t want to be forced to wear a mask (to protect others) because “opression”, now they don’t want to be forced to take an “unsafe” vaccine, even though Trump was originally the loudest proponent of the vaccines, and got his fast.
Wearing a mask is now a visible way to declare “you don’t rule me”.
I have to wonder why they don’t just make aT-shirt.
Would it say “I’m with stupid” and have an arrow pointing at their own head?
Okay. This regular bar-hopping guy, we’ll call him Dog, tested positive Thursday, went to restaurant and said he tested negative.
Friday through Sunday, reportedly totally rocked by Covid, is now at local bar on Ventura Bl. He is sitting alone and looks bad, I’m told by person who works there.
This is ridiculous. The bar can’t do much but ask him to leave, which they’re not.
He goes to another restaurant I frequent. They’re not allowing him in.

I get that you don’t like being told what to do. I feel like shit, I’m going to curl up under a blanket with a warm drink. If I know I’m sick, I’m not going to go around other people so that they get sick, too.

That’s because you’re a socialist. If you really loved America, you would understand that the Tree of Liberty needs to be refreshed with blood from time to time. Not my blood, of course, someone else’s. Still, that tree is thirsty.
I haven’t seen him personally in a while, but back in March he told me he doesn’t want the vaccine because everyone else will get it. I pointed out to him that thousands in LA county will think the same and we’ll have no herd immunity.

There is the anti-vax conspiracy theory going around that vaccinated people give off … something … that unvaccinated people can then “catch.” Germs? Cooties? Magnetic powers? I dunno, I just say what I hear. Anyway, there’s a subset of anti-vaxxers who are masking up so they don’t catch these mysterious disease-causing 5G rays emanating from us normal vaccinated people.
