It’s Ammon Bundy trying to get into a city or county meeting without a mask on. He and the woman filming keep invoking platitudes but from what I saw, the officers/deputies/security on site didn’t allow them in to the meeting.
I didn’t watch the whole video; I skipped forward every so often and watched a minute or so. It’s basically all the same whiny sovcit bullshit we’ve seen and heard in courthouses before.

I was vilified for saying this a few months ago, but I stand by it: the “right” people need to come down with some COVID. I know it’s harsh, but it’s the only thing that’s going to make them question their allegiance to Trump.
In my short existence on this planet, I’ve learned over time that facts, data, and even logic won’t persuade anyone. There are some things that people just have to experience themselves on a personal level. It’s like explaining to someone who’s never experienced racism or sexism and skeptical about whether it exists, that in fact it does exist and that it’s still pretty bad in many regards. Until they ‘experience’ it somehow - directly, on YouTube, or whatever - people don’t typically change. Opinions don’t change unless you get feelings and attitudes to change.
We can post all the COVID-19 death and hospitalization data we want. It probably won’t matter to Trumpists until it comes to their church and puts half of them in the hospital for 3 weeks, and puts half of those hospitalized in danger of medical bankruptcy and losing their homes. Or until their local hospital - the only one in a 75 mile radius - goes bankrupt because they were so overwhelmed by COVID that it took out half their crew for several weeks and they couldn’t do enough elective surgeries to keep the business side of things running.
Nothing is going to change it.
This is just going to drag on and on indefinitely.

Had a funny mask moment yesterday. My gf was going to get a few things at the grocery store, while I waited for her in my Jeep. I saw her shopping list in my car, so I got out and called her name to get her attention. I put my mask on and began walking toward where she was waiting to see what I wanted.
Meanwhile, a woman is walking toward me, returning to her car. She is wearing a black mask, and as I get closer to her I see there are silver letters on her mask that say, “FUCK YOU”. I laugh and give her the finger. From her eyes I can see she’s smiling.
When I reach my gf I giver her the shopping list and she asks, “Did you whip the finger at that woman?” I replied, “Yes”, then headed back to my Jeep to wait. I just now got a text message from her, asking me 18 hours later, “why did you whip the finger at that woman yesterday?”
Lots of retailers (national, and local) are starting to require masks. As if there haven’t been enough YouTube videos of maskholes throwing tantrums, it’s going to explode. Stores need to make it clear they ARE private, and require you to wear a clown nose if they want or just throw you out cause they don’t like your ugly pie hole.
I predict shortly some dick is going to organize a flash mob of maskholes hitting a Walmart unmasked and it will not be pretty.
I wonder what happens when “Please wear a mask” meets “Stand your ground.”
A restaurant in Placerville, California is refusing service to people who wear masks. The mayor is discussing rescinding their license.
A few months ago a woman here in WI who ran a campground said she would kick anyone out if they wore a mask. It’s becoming embarrassing living here.
If by “here” you mean “the USA” I’m rapidly coming to the same conclusion.
And I saw this mentality in action during the gay rights controversies. There were a handful of Republican politicians (Portman, Cheney) that spoke out in favor of gay marriage only because they had children that were gay.
I found this kind of infuriating and a prime example of the general conservative lack of empathy. It’s like they don’t realize that their thousands of constituents with gay children feel exactly the same way about their kids as they feel about their own.
About now, if you guys just don’t go Trump this time around, I’ll overlook some of the smaller stuff. Shit, if you guys give your electoral votes to Biden, I promise to even buy some Green Bay merch!

Not one half hour ago (Monday afternoon) I read a story in WaPo that Winn-Dixie stores, bucking the trend, will refuse to require face masks.
Just now, while bringing it up again to post it here, I see they’ve changed the headline:
Apparently, Donald The Arbiter Of Patriotism has just, within recent moments, declared face masks patriotic. (This is the first mention I’ve seen of that.) Now suddenly Winn-Dixie is all on board!
(Other than that, this WaPo story appears to be substantially the same story that was there before, with only the lede re-written.)
