I recall from reading somewhere, maybe Gene Kranz’s autobiography, that among the NASA staffers there were “Snoopy” awards. I think there was a certificate and sometimes a pewter or silver pin involved.
The thing about CTers… it’s their religion; it’s based on faith. So it’s a waste of your time and breath reasoning with them. I got stuck once in a waiting room with a guy spouting off, at LENGTH, about how the evil gumment was killing and disappearing people they didn’t like. His proof?
There was absolutely NO evidence! That was the proof that there was a cover-up.
Sorry, I misinterpreted what you were saying. Yes, the old moon landing thing. I’ve been researching this for years now. Looking at many of the ‘let’s go and punch all the moon landing conspiracy theorists in the head’ posts at the start of this thread, I’ve concluded that these posters probably weren’t even born when Armstrong took his supposed giant leap for mankind. I actually feel sorry for the guy - he had to live with the lie for the rest of his life and was not allowed to tell anyone the truth. It clearly had an effect on him, as it did on the other astronauts who were forced/coerced into being part of this moon landing fairy tale.
As for Kubrick, I have my own theories as to why he filmed the moon landing here on Earth but it’s purely speculative. I have no doubt, however, that the filming was done here and it explains a mystery to me that I previously battled to solve, namely why King and Kubrick had a falling out following the release of the movie ‘The Shining’. In fact King insisted on a remake with another producer, which of course did later happen.
Armstrong’s steps on the Moon were not supposed. They happened. FYI: I was alive when they happened.
I feel a lot of admiration for the man. He clearly accomplished something amazing. It was so amazing that morons malign it with asinine accusations of it not happening. Armstrong and the other astronauts are not “living with a lie”.
This is the best proof that you don’t have a clue as to what research is.
Well, Kubrick did not film the Apollo missions’ Moon landings, so this paragraph of yours, besides demonstrating your stupidity, is worthless.
So, Denning; when do you have to be back in school? When you return, be sure to pay close attention in science class. I remember my 8th and 9th grade science classes fondly. I learned about the scientific theory and what research actually is. You’re in for a treat!
Wow! Just wow! This degree of human idiocy, so close to home. It’s like finding an Al Qaeda terror cell in the apartment just downstairs, or finding a co-worker who believes in the Flat Earth. Scary.
Is the MRI really from the space program? The basic idea of NMR (and working NMR instruments) had been around for a couple decades. I’m just asking because this is the first time I’ve heard of MRI described this way.
No, wait, keep Buzz: Y’see, we send them both *together *in an odd-couple road-buddy Reality Show, the old-school American aerospace icon and the modern tough Russian fighter. Together they fight ignorance! Hijinks ensue and in every episode a couple of Moon Hoaxers experience high acceleration forces to their craniums.
Dr. Aldrin would love it, Og bless him unlike his two crewmates he digs publicity.
Someone in an earlier thread mentioned it: calling a man who dogfought MiGs over Korea a coward and a liar, is fightin’ words. It was at the moment he said those words that Buzz simply struck, talkin’ time over. Bet Sibrel did not expect that…

So you saw the alleged moon landing images on a grainy black and white television like everyone else, then, whilst Nixon was strutting around like a peacock proclaiming to the world America’s scientific brilliance, so it must be true, right?
I feel a lot of admiration for the man. (Armstrong) He clearly accomplished something amazing. ***
So you are told was the case, so again, it must be true?
Well, Kubrick did not film the Apollo missions’ Moon landings, so this paragraph of yours, besides demonstrating your stupidity, is worthless.***
