Fucking Santorum's latest bit of slime...

That’s interesting information, thanks. All I knew about him was that he was Santorum’s opponent. I had no idea Casey was such an asshole. It’s a shitty choice for Pennsylvania. Turd Sandwich vs. Giant Douche. I think they still have to vote for Turd Sandwich but I’m not as enthusiastic as I was a few minutes ago.

How so?

In your dreams.

When the other guy is Dick Santorum.

Actually, Dan Savage addresses just this issue in this week’s Savage Love:

I was going to come back to this sooner.

Have I actually become more cynical than you?!?

This is some sort of surprise to you based on the current political climate in the US right now? It’s dog eat dog, man! Both sides are using the same tactics. It’s been going on for centuries. “Your side” is no better than “My side”. Again, the players are playing by the rules. Most of us are left to enter the world and use the skills we have to earn a living.

When you boil it all down, there really are very few real differences. At least when looking at issues that affect the chance to make a decent life for ourselves. Community property, sharing health benefits, etc. are things to fight for, but right now, today, we have it pretty damn good.

The fact we can spend so much time arguing over changing laws (that will eventually be changed) affecting things like health coverage and inheritence tells me we’re doing pretty well. We’re not spending time arguing over how to disperse the bags of wheat airlifted into the country.

Not sure, just wanted to use “pwned” before I die. Trying to keep up with the kids.

Pennsylvania: Where the Republicans are Republicans. And so are the Democrats.

On the other hand, given a choice between ebola and measles, I’ll take measles…

Hide their shoes, and strew tacks on the floor. Slows them down and you know exactly where they are.

Ah, the click-click-click of tiny feet…

I knew there was a part of you I still liked. Thanks for the laugh.

Ermmm . . . No, they’re not, duffer. Not “right now.”

Hurricane Katrina revealed a lot of folks that don’t have it so damned good. American Indians don’t have it so damned good. Something tells me there might be more besides these.

Shayna, you are my new hero.

pkbites-were he running against anyone other than Rick Santorum, I wouldn’t endorse him. But defeating Santorum, that despicable piece of shit, is what’s most important right now.

I’m aware that quite a few of you all hate him, but haven’t really paid much attention as to why. How about a quick easy list as to why?

You want easy, or short?

Just don’t over explain it. A list, if you will.

  1. He doesn’t live in Pennsylvania.

  2. He’s a vocal opponent of homosexuality.

  3. He doesn’t live in Pennsylvania.

  4. He’s deep in the pockets of businesses (Accuweather, notably).

  5. He doesn’t liv… you get the idea. There’s a big issue with this because his kids used an online charter school at taxpayer expense but the only home he has in Pennsylvania is empty and has been so for some time.

6)The “Santorum Amendment”, an attempt to have intellignet design taught in schools at the expense of evolution, which he cannot seem to reconcile with his religious beliefs.

  1. He is the number 3 Republican in the Senate, and after these past few years it’s time for a change.

  2. I can’t say this enough: he doesn’t live in Pennsylvania. Why should we re-elect him? It makes about as much sense as someone from California voting for Hillary Clinton. He lives in Virginia, not Pennsylvania. Let him run down there so Virginians can vote for him.

There’s also the smelly business about the Operation Good Neighbor Foundation.

And his incredibly callous comments about Katrina victims, plus his proposing legislation to prevent the National Weather Service from competing with private weather services, plus his preposterous crowing over the bullshit “discovery” of WMDs in Iraq.

On behalf of my fellow Tarheels, though, we’d like to thank all you Keystoners for stepping up and assuming the opprobrium that comes from perpetually hearing, “Oh, so you’re from the state that elected Senator ____!” After Jesse, it’s been a relief to turn that over to you!

Boy am I so pwned! Gee, I guess I should vote for the Green candidate. Fully $30 of the Green’s $60,000 appears to have come from Green party people!

Or, I could recognize that Casey does not represent my views on some issues, does on others, and isn’t a hateful piece of shit like Santorum. When the Democrats take control of the House and Senate, they will dictate the agenda, and Bob Casey will help by giving the Democrats the numbers to do so.
