Really though, could we please discuss the issue at hand. To fuck the U.S. government, how many are we talking about, let’s say 5 minutes per person screwing in ten hour shifts. Is it even possible or is the turnover too quick for Honest4U to achieve his dream?
You know, I live in Williamson County, Texas. (BTW, I have to say, I knew the join date of this OP before looking so I guess I am psychic.) Barking Dog has it right about Hutto. However, some parts of Williamson County are quite civilized.
Fwiw, I knew more than a few Williamson County, TX LEO’s over a period of years (long ago) and I found them to be the most despicable-type of LEO’s possile. I know, literally of more than a few, laughingly, telling me as we drank beers, of planting ‘evidence’ and/or blatantly lying against ‘defendant’ in order to increase the arrest/conviction rate. I also once sat in a courtroom and watched a judge allow a LEO with less than a month’s experience total in police-experience be declared a child-abuse/psychological-abuse ‘expert’ and the defendant was screwed over by totally ridiculous statements made by the officer. I was there with the ‘high-power’ attorney representing defendant pro-bono who was employing me for grunt work during my college days, fwiw. The attorney was certain the case had zero evidence, and Doc’s report even said so. Defendant lost based on just the inexperienced, non-qualified cop who said he saw things that even the child said did not happen. Just an example - and I had LOTS of ear-time with various Wmson Cty LEO’s as I knew one of the deputies rather well. Grew up with him, so to speak.
I can’t stand by the OP, but I KNOW that the difference between Travis County/Austin and Wmson Cnty was (is still?) huge in the area of LEO morality - or it was up until around 10 years ago. I was very close to a number of Travis County deputies as well as Austin PD folk back then.
Sure, its possible Wmson has ‘straightened’ out, but I doubt it. IIRC, there was a documentary awhile back where a group of folks were trying to expose ‘cover-ups’/faking of cases by videotaping the LEO’s actions, etc. I am pretty sure Wmson Cnty LEO was filmed doing various ‘set-ups’ or such and then, when, the boss-man was offered the videos, he refused to address them. Or along those lines anyways. I wish I could remember enough to Google that docu - it was hugely revealing about that LEO agency. And I could only say that it was not a surprise at all.
They didn’t take it over, they collaborate with it! Williamson County arrests everybody in sight, and the Army and Navy use the victims to test radiation machines and re-engineered food. It’s quite handy, really.
DavidM : that does appear to be the one I recall. Only saw a couple minutes, but sure seemed familiar to what I recall. Thx!
I can say with certainty that the antics/attitudes of Wmson Cnty were still being done well into the 90’s from what I heard personally during times of meeting/phone calls with a particular LEO (whom I no longer have any contact with for such reasons, fwiw). Difference between Austin and Wmson Cnty were like night and day back then, for damn sure, IME.
