Henry Rollins.
Cathy Rogers.
Lots of big, heavy vehicles doing crazy, dangerous things. It’s like Battlebots with people inside!

I missed it, but it sounds like something I would enjoy. When & where does it air?
I’ve been a fan of Black Flag for years so I thought seeing Rollins in something would be cool. Ever since the first Junkyard Wars (Scrap Heap) I’ve sort of had a Cathy Rogers fetish. I missed it but will try and catch it next week.
I used to look at the web pages http://www.fullmetalchallenge.com back when it was called ultimate machine combat. There was one team that was going to use a turbine engine (they claimed they had an solved turbines problems), but it doesn’t look like they made the finals.

It’s on TLC on Sunday nights. Check their website www.tlc.com to get the exact times.
According to the schedule, they’re repeating Sunday’s show tonight (10/23) at 8:00 ET, right before the new season of Junkyard Wars starts. I missed it Sunday, but I’ll catch it tonight!
I wasn’t interested in the commercials but I caught it this evening. I didn’t realize the teams had to build their own vehicals and they clearly have a rotation of games they play in them (we didn’t see the three way soccer thing this evening, for example).
So you lose the “Oh man that thing is going to fall apart!” half of Junkyard Wars where you watch them build the machine but you gain more of the “Look at that thing fall apart!” sequences (I loved how the British team’s converted dump truck performed on the track). Not as much build up but a whole lot of competition. I like Junkyard Wars better but Full Metal Challenge’s much, much better than that awful Panic Mechanics.
Oh and I really like the international challenge aspect of it. It’s not much but I think it really adds something to have a greater variety of opponents. Hopefully they won’t feel the need to have an American or British team in every episode…
The British team on the rollercoaster was great. I love how Cathy’s reaction when she came up to their window was “That was hilarious!”
I thought it was great!!! When I saw that the final competition was “Sumo” I didn’t think the team from Chile would have a chance, even if they made it that far.
BTW Just Some Guy, the schedule at the tlc site show’s that each of the 9 episodes in the first round have a UK and North American team, and 8 of the 9 North American ones are from the USA (one from Canada). I wonder if they’ve already determined who will compete in the next round by round one episodes, or if they’ll split them up to try for a USA and/or a UK team in each round (if there’s enough of them left).
It also looks like there are some more former Junkyard Wars teams coming, besides the Chicago Fire in Episode 1. I kind of like this if they don’t get too carried away with it.
I watched a bit of it, the competitions were ok. But watching Cathy Rogers moving around in open-mouthed glee, had me sitting there watching in open-mouth glee. She is so cute.
I caught it and to me it was a more glamorous, well planned, polished up, Junkyard Wars. I didn’t find much appeal to the show because I think Junkyard Wars did it all better. Cathy looked oh so hot though…

Well, I love Junkyard Wars too… so I like this in the same way. It is sort of like twice as much JW!

Have you seen Monster Garage on Discovery? You might really like it. They do stuff like make a limo into a firetruck, and they made a car into a Zamboni. They have one week and $3000 – It’s sort of like Trading Spaces for gearheads/custom car freaks. I love it!
Ha! No I haven’t. Sounds cool
Monster Garage and Full Metal Challenge, my weekly dose of hot tattooed guys.
I wonder what I could do to get Henry and Jesse into the same room with me?
