Break the ice and save the vikings, getting them back into the ship. Watch out for deadly runes, fangly critters, misjudged trajectories, and… inflatable viking women?
Simple concept, challenging puzzles. I’m currently scratching my head on level 32.
I don’t know the number, but I’m stuck on the level involving three vikings encased in a large ice slope leading down to the ship, with a valkyrie-baloon on top.
If you mean the one with two vikings in an iceberg and one in a round piece of ice:
I cut away the piece holding the valkyrie in place, so she rolled down and pushed the round and the wedge onto the boat. Then I cut above and below the top viking, at an angle, so the ice he was in could slide down the slope. I think I made a few more cuts to get the block moving. Then I cut around the third viking so that he was in a pendulum hanging from the left-most joint, then cut the pendulum so he flew onto the boat.
That was the one! UNfortunately, I was at work while doing it, so now I have to go back and get back up to that one. Hopefully I’ll be able to get past some of the ones I ‘cheated’ on.
Thanks!
I’m disappointed that knocking the Viking women onto the boat does nothing. They missed an opportunity for a touch of romance, or at the very least he could hit her with his hammer.
I’m stuck on the level where there is a single Viking and you have to somehow use the single hinged piece of ice to boot him across the screen between the death runes and into the boat. I can boot him onto the runes just fine but I can’t seem to get him between them.
So this method didn’t work for me for freeing the second viking…
So I just freed the first and third easily, and then, instead of trying to hack a block that would slide out of the top guy, I just made a long pendulum coming from the middle support up to him. So simple, makes me feel really stupid.
The ice is leaning on the rock because most of the weight is on the right side. Correct that and you should be fine.
Answer:
Make one cut just outside the two vikings on the rock side of the ice. This should tilt the spar so it falls onto the boat, leaving you on easy cut to remove the last obstacle.
You have to remove enough weight from the right side of the ice so that it falls over to the left.
Cut a line starting just to the right of the bottom-right viking, that passes just underneath the pivot. Then cut a line starting just to the right of the top-right viking, ending at that corner just below him. The piece bracing the ice against the rock will fall, but the rest will pivot towards the boat, tipping each viking off in turn.
Can’t swing fast enough? To get more momentum, you need a longer swing… How can you get it to swing from farther back?
Less vague:
Get it to swing right first
Solution:
Make a vertical cut to the right of the viking, cutting off the right half. When the block swings to the right, cut off the left half, leaving you with just a long lever with a vikign at the end. Cut off the viking at the right moment to launch him into the ship.
Yay, finally done! 38 and 39 took some precision cutting at the right time. The last one was failry simple once you figured it out, no twitch cuts, thank og.
