Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me. This is the second time this has happened now. I’m completely at wits end over the fact that I insist on being rational and being able to pay my rent.
My brother just e-mailed me. He has a spot in his car for his little road trip this weekend. And he has an extra football ticket. And a spot on the floor of the hotel. However, I’d have to take tomorrow off of work. Which I can’t do. And the ticket will cost $100. Plus gas money. Plus food money. Plus hotel money. I’d guess that the whole trip would cost me $300. Which is just way too much.
The problem is that the game is Notre Dame @ Nebraska. That’s right, the ticket is only $100. If any college football fan out there with some sympathy would like to send me to this game, in the name of granting a fellow football fan the chance to see Nebraska’s home win streak fall, you can e-mail me.
And I did mention that this is the second time this has happened. The first was FSU @ Notre Dame in 1993. So I guess the games that I can’t go to, we wind up winning. So at least I’ve got that going for me.
