I’m at a loss for words. Been catching several P-Funk shows for years, were headed to a few shows this summer. We knew he was having troubles, but held out hope.

I met him at the Grammys a few years ago. Seemed to be a really nice guy.
Gonna have to dust off my PFunk 45s today as a tribute.

I’ve never met a rude Funkateer. One of the great things about catching them in smaller venues (B.B. Kings in the city) is that before the show they generally mill about with the audience. All smiles and warmth.
It was just a few months ago that the first announcement was made. We have travel plans for the July shows, no idea if they’ll still be on.

Yeah - I saw this yesterday, too. Lord I remember digging into the P Funk in a big way. Just a big gumbo of sound. I never focused on his playing technique much, but love the overall effect…
