funky symbol on deleware quarter

my brother got one of those new intel computer microscopes for his b-day and it’s really cool. We decided to check out quarters with it, and on the deleware quarter below the “CAESAR RODNEY” text there’s a little symbol that looks kinda like a w and c combined or an upside down m or something. if you want to check it out I upped the pic to http://members.aol.com/kajeling/de-close.jpg you can check out specific info on the deleware coins at http://www1.usmint.gov/50states/states/de/de_home.cfm and some specific info about the design at http://www1.usmint.gov/50states/states/de/de_candidates.cfm THe designer is Eddy Seger, meaning his initials are E.S. and I can see a sideways E in the design with a little tail but can’t find an S. if anybody knows anything more about this mystery I am completely engrossed in it and I would appreciate your help.

The only thing a nonconformist hates more than a conformist is another nonconformist who does not conform to the prevailing standards of nonconformity.

please somebody help! (I posted this to get it back to the top of the board…I know it’s low…but I’m totally freaking!)

Kaje,

The design was SUBMITTED by Seger

“Eddy Seger, an art
and drama teacher at Caesar Rodney
High School, submitted the winning
design concept.”

My bet is that he had some degree of help. He may have came up with the concept and had someone (whose initial are the ‘little symbol’ you describe) draw the artwork. That makes the idea/concept Eddie’s even though he did not have the technical skill to produce the art. He wins and the artist get his due on the quarter.

Hope this eases your anxiety a bit.

Undoubtedly the Illuminati at work.

I understand they are particularly strong in Delaware.
