Funniest Living Comedian?

Another vote for Robin Williams. Anyone catch him on “Dave Letterman” last night? I was thinking I’d watch it just for the heck of it…but wow, I’m sure glad I did – that guy is amazingly talented for comedy in my book. Such a quick wit and the timing is flawless.

And he seems like nice guy too – crass with class. What a combo.

I heard him on the radio a few weeks ago. It was the first time i had ever heard of him before, and he is really very funny.

Robin Williams on the other hand couldn’t be any less funny (or more irritating). But I do like him in dramatic movie roles (eg Insomnia, Awakenings).

Billy Conolly in the 1980s was probably the funniest comedian I’ve ever seen or heard. But his current incarnation is not funny - he’s trying to hard.

If Bill Hicks were still alive, I would vote him number one. Alas. But for people who’re actually alive…
I can’t believe no one’s mentioned him, but:
Denis Leary

But after that I’d like Ellen DeGeneres, George Lopez, John Plechette, Wanda Sykes, Amazing Johnathan, Hedburg, Pryor, Carlin and Rodney goddamn Dangerfield.

If anybody mentioned Will Durst I didn’t see it. There’s a brainy comic.
I’d also vote for Robin Williams, Steven Wright and Billy Crystal. Mitch Hedberg is dead? I’ve been so out of touch.

Then go ahead and start a new thread(in Cafe Society) that doesn’t contain info that is over 4 years old, o.k.?
