I haven’t ordered new checks in a while, but it’s time. My last checks were pretty funny, they looked like they had been torn up and stapled back together.
Well, now I’m looking for checks and all I can find is sad fricken puppies and bald eagles flying past american flags. Does anyone know where I can get some humerous checks?
Sorry to hijack, but I have to share this – I used to have the same checks you’re describing. They looked like they had been crinkled up, torn apart, stapled and taped back together.
I realized they were a bad idea after the third time I had a moron clerk reject a check “in that condition”. :smack:
These aren’t funny but they are cool. I used to have the Skulls design. And since you could personalize the check with a note above the signature line I added this: Why do you look so surprised? I told you it was in the mail!
I have Poker Dogs. That company has more designs that you can shake a stick at.

Interesting. The cheques in my cheque book, which I very rarely use, are plain with just the bank’s logo. I’ve never seen any other alternatives on offer.
Cunctator, two things I’d never even seen before I went to the US are cheques with pics and preprinted stickers with the sender’s address. Since a lot of payments that would be handled electronically in Spain had to be done via cheque in the States, that meant I could use my preprinted stickers to avoid writing my long-ass foreign name on the upper left corner of the envelopes containing my payments.
Some of the sample stickers I got as part of my snailmail spam were quite pretty. If I ever have a long enough trip to the States, I’m ordering some with my Spanish address to use as a “hi this is from me” on gift wrapping.

Yeah, I thought you guys don’t use checks much. Or cheques. Do your EFT/debit/etc. cards come with fun custom designs?
Yeah, I like that design too. I wish this thread had started earlier this week because I had to order checks. I ended up with pin-up girls.
I love looking at the checks my patients give me and trying to reconcile them with their personalities.
Meanwhile, my MC still has beanie babies on it.
I have Wizard of Oz checks. In a black leather Harley-Davidson checkbook.

My card is just a plain one with the bank’s logo. I believe fancier looking ones are available but I’ve never bothered to find out any details.

I haven’t written a check in years. I do all my financial transactions with a debit/credit card. But I used to use the Munch **“Scream” ** checks and always got comments on them. I’ll never forget one grocery clerk who said, “Wow. Cool check. That’s from Home Alone, right?” :rolleyes:
Not so much fun designs, but funky colours (and it’s more credit cards that do, not debit cards)…
I have a Silver Virgin Credit Card and a Sparkly Purple St George Visa Card.
They are discontinued. That’s I’m looking for an alternative.
