I just spent the last hour searching for a good deal on checks, then trying to figure out what design to get. They were either too cute, too plain, or so busy the writing wouldn’t show up. I settled on these.

I hardly use checks anymore, except to pay rent. So I don’t get to shop for them too often. But what I have currently have 4 different designs: Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, and Captain America. Makes it look like I’m not old enough to even have a checking acocunt.
I’m a geek. What can I say. I’d have gotten Star Wars but they didn’t have them yet. They do now, but I still have about 150 of these to get through. Let’s see. One a month at rent time…that’d be about 150 months left. Woohoo!
Plain, standard issued, ugly checks. We only use these for bills.
Same here. I used to get a free box (200) from my bank. They now charge $1. I use about 30-40 per month. Why pay more?
A few months ago I went from plain 'ol vanilla to Scooby Doo checks!

I’m honestly a little flabergasted that you have to pay for cheques. You don’t just get them free from the bank?

I will not pay extra but the “stock” cheapo checks from my bank have 4 different space designs on them (NASA FCU) and they are cool!.

I haven’t seen the checkbook since my wedding day.
Mine are “blue” traditional. I used to have chili peppers too, but I closed that account. The first hundred blue checks were free and I have been to lazy to find something I like better. One of these days I’ll get something snazzy.

Mine are blue traditional. So many other college students have those fancy checks with pictures on them that I find that mine really stand out.
I used to have a design called “Nature” from Deluxe, but they discontinued it. I got it because one of the 4 pictures was a mountain goat. I also have a little computer next to my address. Now I have the plain old standard issue citibank checks, but still with the computer logo.

Francesca – We (Americans) do get checks free from the bank, but they only come in a certain number of (usually boring) styles. For a little bit of extra money, you can order checks in all sorts of exciting patterns.
I’m currently using the beautiful and meaningful Checks for the Cure from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
