This wasn’t intentional, I think, but I was watching an episode of House Hunters or some similar show and the people were talking with the agent in the middle of a cafe. There was a woman in the background of the scene who kept rolling her eyes and sighing heavily each time the house buyers said something stupid. Which was a lot.
Reminds me of a clip on youtube from some Baltimore station where they were interviewing some family on air and the kid starts doing all kinds of crazy things in the background. It was hilarious
In the first Police Squad movie (of course the ZAZ movies are full of this stuff), Drebin is in his kitchen with Jane and the plate of cheese on his refrigerator starts pulsing slowly like it’s breathing.
For a long time on Married With Children there was a box of All detergent in the background altered to say “Ail”.
In the Seinfeld episode where Kramer oversuns himself, and Newman gets the urge to cannibalize him, at one point Newman is reading Alive while Kramer soaks in the hot tub.
Another Seinfeld one I always used to hear was that Jerry kept his cereal in alphabetical order on the shelf. Now that they show them in HD, you can tell that they are not.
