When Amy Wong gets upset, she tends to start cursing (I assume) in Chinese (I assume). Is it real Chinese, and does what she says make sense in the context?
On the DVD commentaries they claim that it’s real Chinese - Lauren Tom, who does the voice, can apparently speak Chinese. The curses are allegedly fairly tame. I don’t speak Chinese myself, so I can’t verify this personally.
There must be someone here who speaks Chinese and can give some insight.
Not that I’d expect anybody to remember it, but we did have this thread two years ago. Amy is speaking bad Cantonese.
So when she does the voice of Minh, is she really speaking Laotian?
On a related note, Abbey McBride, who does the voice of Ling Ling on Drawn Together is not Asian and is just making it up as she goes along.
