I am kind of surprised there isn’t a thread for this yet.
Pretty good epsiode, I thought, not my favorite of the season though. interesting that we got a Lrrrr-centered episode. The self-referential stuff is funny but it also seems a little lazy, I dunno, maybe I am being silly. Fry’s comic book was awesomely bad.
How did the episode end? Comedy Central keeps running a minute or two over (the DVR cut off when they found Fry).
Fun & Funny ep, probably my biggest laugh was the silliest (paraphrasing): “Oothermerferm or what?”
Also liked howthe Dr’s ad was seamelssly integrated into the episode so the ending was a perfect resolution without being a cheat.
I liked the episode. Especially the comic-con bit and the costume contest. The fact that Bender won as “Every Comic Nerds Fantasy”, or some such, and was dressed as Leela was just awesome. The cherry on top of the sunday though was when he went up to get his award and he yells out, “Woo I’ve got fruit for boobs” had me cracking up.
The Lrrr stuff was ok. I liked all the non-Lrrr stuff better.
I don’t remember the ending though as I was falling alseep during the last couple of minutes.

It was about as I expected. I was hoping for more hilarity. Although I enjoyed that Lrrr’s problems with A/V equipment continue.
The comic-con was hilarious, a lot of gags I missed I’ll have to try and pick up on re-watch. And I don’t know if this is everyone from the costume contest, but it’s who I remember:

Some chubby girl as slave Leia (anyone who has ever been to any con can tell you the fat slave Leia’s are always out in force…someone should tell them they’d be better off as Jabba)

Love Lrr, liked the episode. Pretty funny, not an all time classic, but a good solid episode.
Scruffy was dressed as a Na’Vi.
And another Statue of Liberty joke.
Very good episode (especially after last week). The satire at the comicon was right on target, and Lrrr’s date was a clever touch. The ending was a perfectly executed surprise.
I normally like Lrr eps, but this one seemed a bit…off.

I’ve never used a DVR but I’ve heard this complaint before.
Can you only select the episode you want recorded and that’s it? Is there no option to select that it record from, say, 9:55 until 10:35?
They actually changed pronunciations of it from previous eps.
The best I can do phonetically is the older episodes pronounced it “IN-dunh-duh” and in this episode they were saying “IN-duh IN-duh”. They were separating the “Nds” more than they were in the other eps.
Yes, there is, or you can set it so every episode can start recording a couple of minutes early and run a couple of minutes over. I do this for a few shows such as Futurama, South Park, and House and rarely, if ever, have the end of a show cut off
I liked this episode, felt like classic Futurama, and Maurice LaMarche certainly had his work cut out for him here, voicing Lrrr, Kif, and his infamous Orson Welles, always a pleasure to hear Maurice’s rendition of O.W. (A.K.A. “The Brain” of Pinky and the Brain")
I also liked the subtle callback to the Orson Welles commercial script rant also parodied brilliantly in the PatB episode Yes, Always

Very enjoyable. Not as good as last week, but that was hard to top. Just really good.

I have one Comic Book Guy-style nitpick: the “War of the Worlds” broadcast travelled 1000 lightyears instantly.

Indeed, but earlier episodes showed Lrrr watching TV shows broadcast on Earth 1000 years earlier.
