You can acheive the same results now by going directly from one pack of the Pill to another without skipping days. I don’t know that’s it’s too healthy to skip a lot of months, though.
One problem with taking a “normal” BCP continually, though, is that many insurance companies won’t cover the additional packs of pills needed. I know that my insurance is that they’ll only let me get one pack per month. Even that doesn’t always work, because they go by calendar dates, and my body doesn’t! I wonder how they’ll handle Seasonale.

There some thinking that modern women have too many periods, and their periods are too heavy. It is clear that modern American women have more and heavy periods than any women who have ever lived. It’s not clear that this means much, one way or the other.
