Are you close to hearing from those you need to?
Well, I (for one) am done with communications for this round (when I was done, of course, I’m not saying). So hopefully it should start soon. (I’m either eager to gain another big wad, eager to improve on my mediocre performance, or desperate to start with a fresh slate to make up for disaster. :))
I am finished with Round 1 as well. I really wish this would go a little faster than it is. It has almost taken 2 weeks to complete round 1. At this rate we won’t be done until June.
End of Round 1
Nobody accepted offer number 1 for $12000.
Offer number 2 was accepted by Bootis, Biotop, and Larry Borgia for $12000
Nobody accepted offers 3 through 7
Offer number 8 was accepted by Taber for $360.
Of those not accepting the final offer, all decided to keep case number 1. Case number 1 contained $10.
So the standings after one round are:
- Bootis $12000
- Biotop $12000
- Larry Borgia $12000
- Taber $360
- notfrommensa $10
- Mahaloth $10
- Leaper $10
- MadTheSwine $10
I will start Round 2 in my next post, which should be shortly.

Please send me a PM saying “Deal” or “No Deal” before 5:30 PM CST on Monday, March 1. I would appreciate it if in the title of the PM you would include “Round 2, 1st offer”. This would help me identify which PMs are for which offers easier.
I understand wanting the game to move faster, but I did try to make it so that someone that could check in once a day would still be able to play even if they missed a day here and there. I have been posting the new rounds as soon as I possibly could.
I also started to feel impatient, especially since I took the deal fairly early and then had to wait over a week, but it still moves faster than snail mail chess, and thinking of it like that, I don’t mind having a slow ongoing game going on in the background of my online world. though since theres only 8 of us, if everyone agrees to a one day time limit, I would be ok with that
I really didn’t expect to be 4th

If I were playing this game, I would be suspecting that the game moderator is deliberately choosing to eliminate amounts to screw the players over. I don’t really have any way to prove that I am not other than to assure you that that is not the case. I have assigned the cases and picked the order to have them open as I said I would. I decide what the offers are going to be before I check to see what future cases are being opened and I decide what the offers will be for each stage of a round in advance so that I will not know who has or has not accepted offers when I decide what they are. When I saw how this round was going to play out, I was tempted to run the numbers through random.org again just to make it so it would not look like I was cheating. I decided better of it, though, since I wanted the only effect I had on the game to be the offers.
Glad you claimed innocence. I thought you had a bad case of hemorrhoids and were taking it out on us.
Last two cases were a $.01 and $1. Come on.
Indeed, I trust mentalguy, but this has been some seriously bad luck for anyone keeping cases.
