The Mountain also didn’t have to rape her.
It depends on what you mean by “have to.” Alive, she’s a symbol and a potential leader to Robert’s enemies. Dead, she’s not.
To be clear I wasn’t condoning what Tywin did or had ordered, just suggesting why he would have ordered it in the first place.
She could still act as a center of rebellion against th new regime.
True.
Geez guys. C’mon…
the guy hasn’t fought or held a spear in how long?
He was just shaping up a little. You never go into a big fight without a little warm up.
(and wine:p)
Aside aside: It’s likely your phone’s keyboard app has some sort of “cloud sync’ing” capability that uses your emails and/or social media accounts to learn words you’ve used in those venues. Either that, or you’d already typed those words directly on your phone and it just remembered them using its built-in word prediction.
It’s possible but it’s a pretty new phone (a month old or so) and doesn’t seem to be learning anything else but it is Google so who knows what they are syncing up with
Could be Gmail?
I’m assuming the NSA is into GoT.
They’re rooting for Varys.
The CIA is all-in on Ramsay Bolton though.
If the CIA changes its logo to The Flayed Man, I’ll lose my shit.
Speaking of logos, the NSA may be more into the Ironborn.
Which makes sense : they don’t buy your emails and phone records. They pay the Silicon Price !
What a great mental image… a bunch of angry senators at a hearing saying “under your directorship, the NSA has (blah blah blah), can you justify that?”, pan around to the witness table, and there’s… Varys. And he responds calmly and superiorly with a parable about what power REALLY is.
Prob not the first to notice this, but on re-watching…
Oberyn’s Mrs He’s the biggest man I’ve ever seen!
Oberyn: Size is no matter when you’re flat on your back.
:smack:
Entire royal families were not invariably slain when one house took over from another, even at the point of a sword, in our own history. Imprisonment, banishment, reunciation of claims to the throne, etc. are other possible outcomes.
Tyrion: Thank the gods!
I’d be interested to know how that changed over time.
Somewhat random but did anyone else notice Jamies Broner during the fight? He was seriously impressed.
It’s been overshadowed by the fight scene, but I really enjoyed the scene with Sansa lying for Little Finger. I especially liked the subtle reaction of the old lady when Sansa talked about doing what she was expected to do. You could tell that the lady remembered a time when she was married off to someone or was somehow used as a bargaining chip. This absolutely gave Sansa a lot of sympathy in her eyes.
My previous prediction about Sansa learning how to lie and manipulate (the way Arya is learning how to kill) appears to be coming true.
I loved that scene, specially the call back to the very first scene of the show. Sansa mentioned seeing ser Royce when he dropped off his son at the wall, who then was killed by white walkers on scene 1 episode 1.
