My understanding from commentary tracks is that virtually all interiors (including bedrooms) are shot on sets in Northern Ireland. It’s mainly exteriors that are shot on location.
His age is established in the show. He’s 8 in season 1. Colibri’s claim is that this was retconned.
As far as adults playing children, Richard Madden, Kit Harrington, Joe Dempsey, John Bradley-West, and Rose Leslie were all 20 something and playing teenagers when first introduced. Some were closer in age than others, but Jon and Robb were both 7 years younger than their actors. The actors for Bran and Rickon are both 3ish years older than their characters. Natalie Dormer, as noted, is playing ~12 years younger.
I don’t get the hard-on for the Regent thing. The age of majority is not established in the show. 16 is from the fan maintained wiki. If it is 16, and it’s a hard and fast rule, then Joffrey would never have needed a regent since he was either 16 or 17 when Robert died.
Why not have one when Tommen became king? No need for a formal appointment. Tommen is pliant where as Joffrey could only be barely controlled, and Tywin was in the city and clearly in charge from the beginning.
I dunno, I guess I trust direct quotes from the show and the actor that’s playing him more than a fan page that doesn’t reference any official media.
Let me rephrase - where in the television show is this established? You said “Yes we do”. You might, but we do not, because some of us watch the show but do not read whatever Wiki you are referring to.
This is, allegedly, the thread for discussion of the television show. Not books. Not wikis. Not psychic visions. The television show. You can discuss those other things in the other thread in this forum, or, alternatively, almost anywhere else on the entire Internet.
There is nothing in the television show to indicate that Tommen is older than 14 or 15 at the very most. There is good reason to believe that Tommen is closer to 13. At one point we are told he is 8. Then some years pass. We don’t know exactly how much time has passed, but we have some pretty good clues as to a range. Certainly it’s less than 10 years.
Saw this, thought it was pretty awesome: Tower of Joy as a lightsaber battle
Somebody has 'way too much time on their hands!
Like I said, whatever. If you want to believe he’s younger, knock yourself out. There is ample evidence both internally and externally to indicate he’s at least 16. If you prefer to ignore it, go ahead. There’s no evidence to support it except your personal opinion, and I can’t argue with that. If you want to believe a 17-year-old is playing a 12-year-old for some obscure reason, fine with me.
The Waif wanted to know Arya’s bio, and also got three names from her during the questioning. Any chance The Waif assumes Arya’s identity (or any other, I guess) and kills those three for her? Wouldn’t be the first time a Faceless Man has asked for three names. Sort of a graduation present - we don’t want you to think about these three, so we’ll knock 'em off for you. You just concentrate on working for us. Arya training to kill those on her list would be a Faceless conflict of interest, no?
Arya’s list at one point included, Beric, Thoros, and Melisandre. Or at least that’s how I remember it. Not sure why/if she’s dropped them. Can anybody confirm who’s currently on Arya’s list? People are talking about “three names”, which three names are those?
Cersei, Walder Frey and the Mountain.
Well, the Mountain is arguably dead already.
Cersei & Walder are high-value targets, assassinating either would be a major undertaking, even for a Faceless Person. I seriously doubt that those names will get crossed off Arya’s list as a present from the Faceless Academy.
Just having a bit of fun. The reply was to Senor Beef’s post about the rules on use of a “reagent” which will pretty much always leave a stain.
Perthis, the list at different points included:
Cersei: alive and on current list
Walder Frey: alive and on current list
The Mountain: if not alive, at least still walking around and on current list
The Hound: believed to be dead by Arya, but death not confirmed.
Melisandre: alive, but not mentioned on current list
Beric: alive, but not mentioned on current list
Thoros: alive, but not mentioned on current list
Ilyn Payne: death not confirmed, but the actor who played him died and he hasn’t been mentioned since season 4. Possibly has died offscreen.
Meryn Trant: the only one on this list actually killed by Arya
Joffrey: killed
Tywin: killed
The list actually lacks at least one name that was on it at one point, Polliver, who was also killed by Arya.
Ilyn Payne’s actor left due to cancer, but he recovered and is still alive.
Jaqen asked Arya for three names because she had “stolen” three deaths from the Many-faced God by saving him, Biter, and Rorge from being burned alive in the cart in which they were being taken to the Wall.
Arya gives him the names of The Tickler, a torturer at Harrenhal, and (to avoid being discovered) Amory Lorch, and Jaqun kills them. She tells him Tywin, but he leaves Harrenhal, and Jaqen tells her it will take a long time him to do for that one. Instead she makes Jaqen allow her to escape by killing all the guards by threatening to name him as the third name. Gendry and Hotpie give her shit for not giving him more important names.
Later on, The Hound and Arya encounter The Biter and Rorge. The Hound kills The Biter and Arya kills Rorge. So Arya has given the Many-faced God back several more deaths than she saved.
Thanks for the correction. Maybe Arya will have the chance to kill him after all.![]()
Ah. I missed that.
