I have stayed away from watching GoT, fearful that it would be left unfinished or dissipate. But with the last season being filmed and the BD boxed set of the previous seasons being available, I have finally succumbed. And to top it all, it’s September, so winter is coming!
I am like the Martells- unbowed, unbent and unbroken. I quit watching the show in about the third episode of the fifth season, and have done my very best to avoid it since.
Basically that’s the point where I realized that certain omissions and inclusions were telegraphing stuff about events past the fifth book, and decided to quit before I found out too much.
The only thing that’ll have me watching the show before the books are finished is if GRRM dies before finishing the series. Which is not an entirely unlikely event, I know.
Late to the party as usual but prompted by a couple of YouTube clips have succumbed and bought season one last week, watched the whole lot the day it was delivered.
Had to wait for season 2 to be delivered yesterday, same story but a disappointment - went to make a cuppa before watching the last disc and on my return found I had already watched it.
Season 3 delivered today and season four arrived a couple of days ago - ordered by mistake, thought it was season three I was buying.
I’m not usually quite this sucked in to stuff like this. I am a sucker for dragons though.
