Game review: TripleTown.

For 5.99 on Steam, you can get one of the most addicting games I’ve played in the last few years.
I started TripleTown about 2 hours ago and wondered, the next time I looked at hte clock, where the last two hours went. It’s an engaging game that I find is incredibly, amazingly addictive. I can easily see myself wasting hours upon hours every day for months playing this.

Basically, it’s one of those gradual “build up and creating things” game. The concept is simple. You make things from sets of three (hence the name “TripleTown”)

Three A’s create a B.
Three B’s create a C.
Three C’s create a D.
…and so on and so forth, with various combinations.

Using these equations, TripleTown challenges you to create the best town you can in a single player, one round chance…but keeps your on-going point score and money every time you play a round for 1. Future upgrades and things you can buy in a “store” and 2. A separate “home base” game where you build things (in the same fashion as in the game) and harvest power ups, and–over time–create the biggest, thriving city you can.
Great game, I think. I’ve only played 2 hours of it and I’m hooked.
For 5.99 (on Steam), I think it’s worth a try.

My wife has lost a ton of time to the free android version of this. I am staying well clear.
