In the Scooby Doo series, Scrappy Doo was a charcater introduced towards the end of the show. Most Scooby afficionados dislike him very much:he is too cutesy, too annoying.

a lot of TV shows will introduce a ‘Scrappy Doo’ type character to their cast as a last ditch chance to raise the ratings or what have you.

Usually Scrappy Doos are precocious kid characters, but not always. No matter what they were, once you saw them you knew in your gut it was curtains for the show.

so let’s name some Scappy Doos, shall we?
The Scrappy Doo of The Brady Bunch was Oliver.
The Scrappy Doo of The Cosby Show was Oliva.
The Scrappy Doo of Diff’rent Strokes was Sam.
