:stuck_out_tongue:

UOEO = Quoteworthy

Sorry to burst your bubble, but “unctuous” is UUOU, not UUUO. Meh.

But, but, but- the rules don’t say the vowels have to be in the order of the combination. It merely states the combination needs to be in order, which when reads means ‘AAA’ comes before ‘AAE’ etc on the message board.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Nevertheless, we’ve already got a UUOU (murmurous). No others need apply.

To sum up, we’re still short the following:

UOUO: tucotuco [alt. spelling of tucutuco]

Near misses (with cause of dequalification in caps)
IUUO: closest I get is circumfusIon
UIUO: closest I get is multiunIon, multiAuthor, multipurposE, multifunctIon, substitutIon
UOAU: ?
UUAU: closest I get is tsutsugamushI, subburEau, usquEbaugh, musculaturE

dequalification is DISqualification…shesssh

I wqas about to invent a woed. Looks liek I am a loser all round.

This one’s archaic, but still legal:

UUAU: Subquadruply. “Subquadruple” means "containing one part of four; in the ratio of one to four; as, subquadruple proportion. " [Webster’s Dictionary, 1913 edition] “Subquadruply” is the adverbial form.

Lessee – that leaves:

[zealously]I already did UOAA: puzzolana [/zealously]

Can someone tell me what happened to UII?

If it is vacant I offer quidity.

Vacant or no, it’s a perfectly cromulent word.

Okay- my dictionary has no ‘cromulent’. What does it mean?

It’s the adjective form of “embiggen”.
(Seriously, it’s a made up word from an episode of The Simpsons)

P.S. quiddity might be less cromulent.

The point you make is quiddious.
