Are you a moron or something? Those are actual opinions held by actual “gamers.” Have you really never heard of the Fake Geek Girl controversy? I know RNATB doesn’t hold those opinions, but there are people that do and he was mocking them (as was I).
Then what, pray tell, is the discussion? That someone wrote a low-budget free video game you aren’t a fan of? That someone cheated on her boyfriend? That people in a given industry tend to sleep with each other? That small non profit events are badly organized? These are non-topics of zero importance.
The story here is that someone is being illegally harassed. The rest of the story seems to be a bunch of people claiming she deserves it.

Jophiel is sad-faced because we won’t admit he’s right that the game is objectively terrible, and won’t even admit he’s right that this is worth discussing, instead pointing out that whether the game is objectively terrible has nothing to do with whether it’s okay to write reviews of the game consisting of rape fantasies. Sad-faced, I tell you! Now he’s got a full-on petulance going on.
**Jophiel **would like to discuss how sometimes indie games are praised more for what they attempt than for the quality of their execution. He believes that Quinn’s game *Depression Quest *is an example of this, and is annoyed that any attempt to start a discussion along those lines is being drowned out by the people who are talking about her harassment.
However, I would say that having the sort of discussion that he wants to have is impossible at this point. The well is too thoroughly poisoned. GamerGate only exists as a story outside the narrow boundaries of the indie game scene because of Zoe Quinn’s harassment. Otherwise most people never would have heard of it at all.
If **Jophiel **is actually interested in discussing the indie game scene and how games (worthy or not) are promoted within it, I would urge him to start a thread in the Game Room using a less-toxic example.

As I said earlier, I’m fairly ambivalent about the IRC thing since logs are easy to fake and neither you nor I know who any of these IRC handles actually represent. So I’m equally “eh” about the counter-claims (I haven’t even read the scribbled over logs in the second link) but figured that if Quinn’s logs were relevant then the response would be as well.
