Gamers ... how aware are you of ...

Ooh! That’s right! I’d forgotten that E3 was where he did the whole presentation on Spore that’s referenced everywhere on the web.

Let’s see…
[ul]
[li]CES[/li]Wha?
[li]DICE[/li]No dice…
[li]AIAS Awards[/li]Who?
[li]GDC[/li]blank look
[li]Game Developers Choice Awards[/li]This one I’ve heard of, and I seem to remember a few games proudly sporting a sticker saying they won an award from these guys. But who holds it and when I can’t even begin to tell you.
[li]E3[/li]The Big One! This one I would love to go to.
[li]TGS[/li]yet another blank look
[li]Spike Game Awards[/li]Heh. Yes, yes, I watch shows like ‘MXC’ and ‘World’s Wildest (insert type here) Videos’. So this one I know of, but haven’t steeled myself to watch it. It seems like it’d be a train wreck.

Essentially I pretty much just pay attention to upcoming RPGs and SIMs, and new titles coming out from the few publishers/developers I trust.

<< Computer modelers simulate it first. >>

For CES you mean Consumer Electronics Show? If so then I used to go when I lived in Vegas. My family still goes. Don’t really see it being a video game showcase. If you mean another CES then never heard of it.

E3 I know of, but never gone. I just catch the news posted on the web from it.

Spike Game Awards I know of again, but don’t think it is all the big of a deal.

The others I have not heard of.

Ones you didn’t list (but arn’t neccisarly gaming shows) that I do know of, and try to attend.

Comdex, Netword/Interop, Everquest Fan Faire. Not going to be hiting any of them the next couple years while stationed in Korea, but I always enjoy Comdex, and NI. EQ FF seems to be dying off. Sony tried to incorporate all their online games, but still didn’t have near the numbers they used too.
