I have a Moorematic X133. The obstructions sensors have been driving me crazy, sometimes working, sometimes not. This last time I cannot get power to the sending unit either with the existing wires, or directly connecting to the back of the opener. When I attach the sending unit to the hard wired door opening circuit on the back of the unit the sending unit lights up, and therefore is getting power. So, is my problem with circuitry in the motor unit of the opener itself, or is not powering the sending unit the way it should be?
Honestly, you can get a good garage door opener at HOme Depot for $120. That’s what I did. Installation took 2 hours, but I have had 0 trouble for the past 3 years. In my experience over the past decade with electronics- they are not worth fiddling with. Just save yourself the headache and replace it as the moment one part starts to go the rest is right behind it!
