Gardening goes to the dogs

For Gatopescado and his dachshunds (I hope I have that right).

How is he on weeding?

Shouldn’t Crusoe be watering those?

Love it!

That was super cute!

Thanks to** burpo** for the heads up on this thread!

That dog (beautiful, by the way) looks just like my Trixie dog. (Pics here) : bob smith | Flickr

I’ve got lots of good action shots, but no good internet to share it. :frowning:

And to the OP Folacin, thanks for the thread. I didn’t know you noticed!

I seem capable of remembering one thing about most posters (generally lib vs. cons vs. crazy <lib/cons>). For you, I apparently remember that you are a weiner (dog owner).

Leet the Wonder Dog[sup]TM[/sup] is also a Helpful Gardening Assistant. When I trim the bushes, he likes to seize the offending branch in his mighty jaws, pull it down, then I cut the branch and he falls over backwards and then runs off to gnaw on it for a while. I am trying to convince him to put the branch on the pile, but he prefers to save it for later rather than approach the dreaded Yard Waste Bin That Makes a Scary Rumbling Noise.

He also attempts to supplant the weed whacker by eating the grass on the edges, but that generally involved barfing it up about five minutes later, so we try to discourage it.

Regards,
Shodan

I would have assumed it was for being a Drive-By Wise-Ass. But this is okay.

My new male greyhound Loki is also a master gardener. Well, perhaps more of a landscaper. After he pees, he scratches with all 4 feet like many dogs do. But his long toenails, long toes and massively strong feet and legs from his career as a racer causes him to rip out little divots all over. I’m considering hiring him out to aerate people’s lawns.
