Ha! Doesn’t surprise me. Well, since there isn’t a “Best Overall” poll then I suppose it’s worth it to continue with the nominations for a new poll. I’ll consider the results from those polls as I put together the new poll. Maybe all the “Best From X Album” songs that received more than 10 votes can automatically go into the new poll whether then get nominated in this Thread or not.
White And Nerdy
Genius In France
Smells Like Nirvana

And the original, recorded in a bathroom, My Bologna
Smells Like Nirvana, which I like a great deal better than the original.
Christmas at Ground Zero, which is in our family caroling repertoire.
Al’s done a lot of funny, well-done parodies and originals, but I’d rank songs like these, which stand on their own and outstrip the originals, over tired, labored and rather obvious choices like Eat It and Fat and LIke A Surgeon.
I had always loved “Christmas at Ground Zero”, but am I the only one who just can’t listen to it anymore ever since the term “Ground Zero” became so closely linked to the Sept. 11th attack?
I would say that among his best are Albuquerque, The Biggest Ball of Twine, Trapped in the Drive-Thru, The Night Santa Went Crazy, Since You’ve Been Gone, and Don’t Download This Song. I may not be the best judge of Albuquerque - it was the first song of his I heard so I could be biased.
