Hi, I’m not looking for Gauntlet Legends or Dark Legacy. I’m looking for good old Gauntlet with the old music, sound effects and The Voice where you run through the same twelve mazes in varying colors. Has this title ever been released for the PSX or PS2? Maybe as a bonus game on another game like how Chrono Trigger was included with some Final Fantasy title?
I’m not really up for dropping a grand on one of the old machines but damn it seems to be something that I’d just want.
The original ‘Gauntlet’ was released in a compiliation of games for the PSOne. It was called Midway Presents Arcade’s Greatest Hits: The Atari Collection 2, which included full versions of Gauntlet, Paperboy, Marble Madness, Crystal Castles, Millipede and RoadBlasters.

You can get Guantlet and Gauntlet II on an arcade emultor for your PC. Since this is technically illegal, I can’t give you more details than that on the boards, but they’re not terribly hard to find. Poke around on the internet a bit, you’ll probably find something. Last month, I did a marathon Gauntlet II session just to see how far I could get before I couldn’t take any more. Got to level 101 before I finally gave up.
