I live in Northern Alberta and just want to bitch. Last week at this time it was +10 celcius. Starting Saturday the thermometer has plummeted. I am almost certain it hasn’t gotten above -25 since last sat/sunday now. Now tonight, it is supposed to get to -37 with a 20-30 KM/H wind behind it. AAARRGGHH! For cripes sake, we’ve been freezing for a week!
It’s 50 F in Houston now. It’s supposed to be in the mid 60s [F] tomorrow. It does get into the low 40s [F] at night.
Where I live in Havre, Montana, it is cold. DAMN COLD! The current is 3° F with a -42° F windchill. Because of the snow, which is blowing on nice-sized winds (29 mph with 39 mph gusts), we have a Winter Weather Advisory in effect. Schools around the region are closing, especially those with a large percentage of rural students (the main roads are constantly plowed, but the secondary roads country people live on aren’t so assiduously maintained). In short, we’re getting the winter we didn’t get last year. By the way, the overnight low is -25° F not counting windchill. I’m glad I’m in a nice house.

You call 40° F cold?! Heck, I can go out in the forties with only a light jacket, tee shirt, and jeans! Forties is springtime around here! Forties is a tropical heatwave! And mid-sixties tomorrow! I tell ya’, people today, they don’t know what cold is. You know it’s cold when the ORs open the doors and let the wind in to save on anesthetist costs!

Don’t want to make you too jealous, but mid-sixties and sunny here (San Francisco Bay area).

- Don’t have bad traffic.

- Can see stars at night.
I broke out the winter clothing a couple of days ago. It actually rained early this week. Two days even. Quite depressing.
It’s been pissing on us here in Manchester (UK) for months on end with no end in site. I hate it so much.
Here in Chicago I re-enacted the avalanche scene from the trailer to Vertical Limit!
I was chipping the ice off my car when the 12ft. high dirty snowdrift on the parkway slumped, knocking my feet out from under me and sending me ass first into a FOOT of horrible black slushy water.
Then the rest of the snowdrift (large boulders of packed snow and ice mixed with foul slush) collapsed onto me as I lay wedged between the drift and my car.
I was absolutely soaked through and through, freezing and dirty, AAARGH!
My down coat is at the cleaners now and my clothes are in my shower. I’m wearing my leather jacket and freezing outside.
I hate this weather with every fiber of my being.

-30 degrees C with a windchill of -55C or -67F. I don’t have to say that it is frigging cold in Saskatchewan right now.
