Gay Adoption

Here’s the article from the Voir.

It’s a great article. anyone who reads French should follow the link and read the whole thing. This paragraph is about 2/5 of the way down the page.

I see. I’ll tell you what is funny – I was expecting something more along the lines of: “I’m sorry, of course you were right, there is such a thing as misandrist lesbians, I was hoping nobody would call me on it. I was, and continue to be a complete ass to continually ask for cites, be proven wrong, and then… continually ask for cites again. That accounts for why my credibility approaches absolute zero. Let’s make up – here, let me post something useful and pertinent to the debate.”

Congratulations, though, on the scintillating lameness of your ‘comic effect’ excuse.

And now I see your Voir article, and I begin to think you haven’t read anything:

What kind of fucked up science is that? Might as well say, and the rights of manatees, hydrox eaters, and aliens from sector alpha. You can’t compare lesbian half-biological parenting to friggin gay adopting! CJ, did you want to step in here with how supersets do not inherit properties of subsets!?This is an absolutely bogus conclusion – Then after that bogosity, we have this stinker of a sentence:

Between 1 and 10%? Like, say 4% and 8%? That’d be only a 100% growth, nothing exciting… So what were the actual numbers? Not compassionate enough? This kind of phrasing should have everyone’s bogus science alert flashing around in their heads, and demanding to take a look at the actual numbers. This was a great article – it greatly confirmed the bogus, politicized nature of the current studies.

And Hamish, I notice you’ve stumbled comically across some confirmation of my 96% straight number, despite your best efforts to stay ignorant. Please do your own research from here on out, I’m dog-tired of feeding you crow.

Nice work in finding the article, Hamish. That should be another nail in the coffin. Unfortunately, coffin lids seem to have little affect on the Un-brain-dead.

Damn. Bitten by the grammar bug when rewording that.

I’m thinking Ace and The Ryan are gonna be bestest buddies 'round here…

Esprix

I have posted plenty that’s useful. And you’re still stalling.

Regardless of subsets and supersets, Ace, let’s ask a couple of very common-sense questions.

Do you, Ace, think that a biological lesbian parent is less likely to raise a gay child than an adoptive one?

Do you think that gay fathers would be more likely to raise a gay child where a lesbian couple would not?

You’re building card-castles out of abstract logic in order to escape the basic point. This is sophistry. The differences you raise are not likely to affect the data in this case.

Besides, you’re only talking about the American Association of Pediatrics. Not the other study done by the APA. Not any of the other hundreds of studies that included gay males.

And incidently, you have only been able to find one study that suggests a slightly higher percentage of children of gay parents come out as gay. One. And that’s the one you accept, against the hundreds of others, because it confirms your pre-existing prejudices. But I guess that’s just me being “defensive,” eh, Ace? Because what Ace0Spades believes must be the truth, no matter how much evidence to the contrary.

Really? Walk me through this, Ace. Step by step, please. Exactly how does anything I have ever posted even imply that 96% of gay parents would reject a heterosexual child? You’re speaking in non-sequitors.
