Men’s Division
Rules and Regulations
Eligibility
Anyone who has expressed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior and has a desire to serve Him in the ministries of the Orlando Union Rescue Mission is eligible for the discipleship program.
Program Goals
To teach you, from the Bible, how to live a victorious life according to the Word of God.
To help you get involved with and become a member in good standing with a local Bible-believing fellowship.
Church, Chapel, & Bible Study
All disciples are required to attend morning Bible study at 7am on Mondays through Fridays. Disciples under 104 days may have certain special classes they are required to attend.
All disciples under 104 days (see 3. Time Table, pg. 2) must attend Bible study in the evenings at 7pm on Mondays through
Fridays unless otherwise announced.
Senior disciples must attend a minimum of five services a week, either at the Mission or at their own fellowship.
On Saturday, you must attend the normal evening chapel service; on Sunday, you are required to either attend the morning chapel service at the Mission or worship with your own fellowship.
Disciples under 104 days may attend an outside fellowship provided it is approved by management; see the list of approved churches.
Conduct
Absolutely no drinking alcoholic beverages or use of controlled substances at any time. This includes abuse of prescription medication and excessive use of tobacco products. The Mission reserves the right to perform drug and breath testing as deemed appropriate by the management. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only.
No immorality, including, but not limited to: fornication, adultery, and homosexuality.
Having, watching, or reading any pornographic or morally degenerate material, including books, magazines, videos, or audio recordings with profanity or nudity; you will be subject to dismissal. No material with a rating of higher than PG (as defined by the MPAA) or equivalent may be watched or listened to. All materials must be screened by management. Non-Christian concerts, performances, and sports events must be cleared ahead of time by the management.
No profanity at any time. This is cause for immediate dismissal.
Absolutely no fraternizing with women on our program. If you have a wife or a girlfriend, you are allowed to visit with them in the front lobby with management’s approval. You are here to develop your relationship with God, not women.

Soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, and other Mission-supplied consumables must be requested between 8am and 3:30pm on weekdays.
