Not a gay scene, but a rather surprisingly lesbian scene in a movie from 1932, “The Sign of the Cross” by Cecil B. DeMille
One character dances erotically around another, running her hands up and down the body of the other woman, who must stand still and submit to being humiliated. The movie was made pre-Hays Code, and later butchered in various forms before having all cut material restored in the 90’s.
Of course DeMille liked to throw in a lot of suggestiveness to his Biblical epics. But another thing that surprised me about this movie was that all the good guys and girls died, and none of the bad ones got their comeuppance. Quite the downer of a movie.
