Gotta love that - I went to NU grad school.
I remember hearing that at Harvard/Princeton basketball games, the Harvard fans would chant “Saaafety Schooool” at the Princeton side…

And you people think hockey is violent? Jeesh.
How many Goram times are we gonna mention the hockey player?
These posts point out another big difference between the US & UK- I have seen people in the US get at upset at hearing a fuck the ____ chant at a sporting event- imagine their reaction at a UK Championship league match between big rivals. Yet another reason why the UK is cooler.
I was watching Blackburn Vs Bolton (in the Bolton end obv) and the away fans were giving it
“Your Mum’s your Dad, your Dad’s your Mum, you’re all inbred, you Blackburn scum”
Which i didnt join in with. I prefer a positive chant to a negative one.
Yeah, there’s a leeettle cultural difference between sports chants on both sides of the pond. I remember being quite surprised at my first Hungarian basketball game when, after a particularly questionable call by the ref, half the crowd erupted into a chant which translates into “Your mother’s a cunt, you’re mother’s a cunt.” And that was just at the ref. I can’t even remember what vindictives were hurled at the other team.
The best chant I’ve heard was in High School. I went to a school who’s mascot was the Dons, with the image being some sort of Spanish Gaucho or something. Nobody I knew had any idea why that was our mascot, but there it was. Anyways I had a lot of friends at a rival school, so once my hischool football team was playing theirs, and me and my friends went on a lark (I almost never attended hischool games of any sort). About midway through the first quarter, a huge section of the rival team’s fans start up with a loud cheer:
“WHAT THE HELL IS A DON?”
“WHAT THE HELL IS A DON?”
“WHAT THE HELL IS A DON?”
I loved it.

Hmmm. That’s suspiciously similar to the MIT cheer listed in HoToGAMIT:
The “Slipstick! Slide Rule!” speaks of a great age for this chant.
