Okay. My interpretation of your behavior leads me to believe you are scum, and so I have voted for you.
I hope this is satisfactory.
I think it’s odd that you’re spending more time trying to get me to phrase things to your satisfaction, than disabuse me of the notion you’re scum in the first place.
Yes, that addresses my question. As I’ve said, townies need to vote for who they think is likely scum and explain why they think so. Giving reasons for voting that have nothing to do with the target being scum is anti-town.
Now, I can ask a follow-on question: why do you think my “soft claim” and “lame response” mean I’m scum?
I doubt I can disabuse you of your notion. I truthfully explained my actions; you found it unsatisfactory. What else can I do?
However, I ask you to explain yourself more explicitly, to make it easier for others to judge your motivations for your vote.
I must say that even though I made a mistake about Inner Stickler voting for Sisc I feel that this makes me even more suspicious. Stanislaus got me reading everything Inner has posted and** Inner** hasn’t said anything except telling** Astral** to read more games, before you say I am not being honest, he did say he may have to rethink his position (sorry if I have given Inner a sex change) Also by saying Inner hasn’t said anything, that is also totally misleading, he has written an awful lot about how to play the game and about other games he has played.
@ Normal, no I am not voting for gnarly now. I am as mad as hell at him but I have seen him do seemingly incredibly stupid things before (I didn’t want to mention this at 1st cos it’s meta gaming and he’s been accusing me of that all along) and he came out smelling of roses.
I have also read every post that **Normal **has posted, looking for a fault obviously and for the life of me I can’t find one
I have 3 people on my radar at the moment and I am watching very carefully, they are Inner, SisC and gnarly.
I had all this typed out so wonderfully the first time and then my internet crashed Again!!! so I rewrote my thoughts quickly and I hope I make sense, I am prepared to answer any questions you may have.
So, this guy goes into a restaurant and orders a bowl of soup. The waiter brings him the soup and disappears off to the kitchen. After a couple minutes, the guy calls the waiter over and says “I want you to try the soup”.
The waiter says “Is it too hot?”
“Try it.”
“Is it too cold?”
“Try it!”
“Well, what’s wrong with it??!”
“Nothing. Will you just try it??”
“I can’t. There’s no spoon.”
“Ah HA!”
Indeed. You’re original claim was you were neither town nor scum. And I, thinking I’d NAILED you, forgot what I nailed you for. So no, I don’t think you’re scum.
Thanks for clarifying. For what it’s worth, I don’t believe you, and I won’t stop suspecting you until you acknowledge and respond to my questions regarding your claim.
LOL, don’t worry, I’m not. The Pleonast show is something to see.
Pleonast 101: How to get the townies AND the scum in a tizzy, regardless of one’s own alignment, frequently ending in one’s own lynch, and NOT CARE. Furthermore, how to stay resolutely convinced that oneself is the only one around playing the game properly, and everyone else are dingbats.
I thought it possible his response might be illuminating of his alignment. I think scum would be slightly more likely than town to give up a name, in order to ingratiate themselves. In other words I think Astral’s response was the more townie one.
nod Obviously it had occurred to me as well what Ed was getting at, but I’m not going to say anything else about it at this time.
If you’d like to review my posts on the subject you’re welcome to do so. But you know damn well that I’m referring to wanting to know why you claimed non-vanilla town.
