In a game that’s already as odd as this one, I can’t tell if a no-kill night is something to cheer or something that should cause me to wait for the other shoe to drop.
The title of “The first one is free” leads me to believe that there is no other shoe to drop this time but should whatever chain of events that led to a no-kill night happen again, there will be a dropped shoe.
Does anyone have an “alive/dead” list of players for the game?
Here you go, love. Color coded and everything.

Well, well. Today’s shaping up to be real purty. No kill, and a very interesting development on my end.
I have a partial claim to make, which will likely be followed by a full one. I am an investigative role and last night I investigated Pleonast, which I would think would surprise exactly no-one. I got a very incriminating result.
Before I make my claim, I’d like to give Pleonast the opportunity to claim his role ahead of time, and let everyone decide if the claim holds water against the contents of my investigation. At that time I will also divulge my role as well as my investigation results from Night One, so that everyone can judge for themselves.
So, Pleonast: 'splain yourself.
I think that day one vote count needs to be broken down to votes-in-order. As it stands it’s impossible to tell who was in danger at any given time. Give me a few, I’ll do it; if it’s not useful now it might be at some point.
Day Two shows very little action - gnarly racked up 6 votes in pretty quick succession, with only Astral and TexCat getting even 1 vote in that time. Given that he was CARS, ALE didn’t have to do very much after that to get themselves the desired result. Certainly there were no other serious contenders for the vote lead. (Pleo came closest, getting it to 5-3 at post 791.) One thing that stands out is that compared to Day One, there were far fewer unvotes on Day Two. This is due to gnarly giving no-one any reason to unvote him, but will also reflect the ALE team’s happiness with the result.
By contrast, Day One was full of incident. A brief summary:
Phase 1: Astral takes an early lead.
Astral makes his post (131) about CARS being part of ALE. Votes quickly follow:
Post 207: Astral is 6 votes up - nil to all others.
Post 237: Astral drops to 3 as Stanislaus, Normal Phase and Tom Scud unvote. Astral claimed detective in 230, hence Normal and Tom’s unvotes. I had already unvoted in 211.
Post 327: Astral is back up to 6. Special Ed, gnarly and Silver Jan vote post-claim. gnarly and Ed have 1 vote each.
Phase 2: Competition from SisterC
Post 398: Astral 6; Pleo 2; SisterC 0. (Winston and fluid are the Pleo voters, both for the soft claim.)
Post 414: Astral 6; Pleo 2; SisterC 3. pedescribe, Weedy and Hirka have in quick succession brought SisterC into second place.
Post 428: Astral 5; Pleo 2; SisterC 3. Silver Jan unvotes Astral.
Post 451: Astral 5; Pleo 2; SisterC 4. Astral makes an acknowledged self-preservation vote.
Post 466: Astral 6; Pleo 2; SisterC 4. SisterC returns the compliment.
Post 487: Astral 6; Pleo 2; SisterC 5. Pleo votes SisterC for making a self-preservation vote. NB - why not Astral?
Post 492: Astral 8; Pleo 2; SisterC 5. fubbleskag and then Inner vote Astral, taking him comfortably ahead of SisterC.
Post 507: Astral 7; Pleo 2, SisterC 5. Special Ed unvotes Astral.
Phase 3: Pleo and fubbleskag enter the race
Post 523: Astral 7; Pleo 2, fubbleskag 1; SisterC 5. nesta makes an extensive case on fubs. The basis is the fubs defended Astral too much, then jumped on him too quick.
Post 546: Astral 7; Pleo 5; fubbleskag 2; SisterC 2. Pleo voted for fubs and was then voted on in quick succession by Hirka, Normal and pedescribe. In the process, SisterC drops out of contention. Hirka voted Pleo as a joke. Normal and pede made cases, both saying that Pleo was being inconsstent in his arguments.
Post 626: Astral 7; Pleo 5; fubs 6. Tom Scud, Special Ed, Silver Jan and Weedy vote for fubs, tieing him with Pleo in second. All of these are based on nesta’s case.
Post 635: Astral 7; Pleo 4; fubs 7. Hirka creates a tie, unvoting Pleo to do so. Says the case on fubs is better than the case on Astral.
Post 641: Astral 6; Pleo 5; fubs 7. fubs unvotes Astral (636) then votes Pleo (641). Acknowledges he’s putting himself in the lead.
Post 645: Astral 5; Pleo 5; fubs 8. TexCat unvotes Astral and votes fubs, missing out some important changes since nesta made his case. (I.e., fubs unvote of Astral.)
Post 649. Astral 5; Pleo 6; fubs 7. Hirka unvotes fubs and votes Pleo (for real this time). No real reason given, but shows some faith in the claims made by Astral and fubs. Pleo is the next best.
Post 653 Astral 4; Pleo 5; fubs 7. Zeriel unvotes Astral to vote gnarlycharlie.

More comments maybe to come once my eyes re-focus, but for now and especially in light of fluid’s claim, this list does Silver Jan no favors. Her post-claim vote on Astral (327) came right behind two now-known townies doing the same thing (Ed and gnarly) – a nice comfy spot for scum to be almost regardless of Astral’s own alignment. Second, if fluid’s information means what she seems to think it means, then Jan’s vote for fubbles in 623 was well-timed.
Weedy’s votes are also good for Pleo, though I had been leaning town on her on content alone.
If there was a move to save (a scummy) Astral as opposed to one to get him lynched, it’s well-disguised. TexCat is the only one that sort of fits: 3rd vote on him, then unvoting him in favor of fubbleskag very late.
I would like to hear Hirka discuss his day one votes, particularly his 635 unvote of Pleo moving him from 2 to 3 votes from the vote lead (and tying fubbles with Astral); coupled with his 649 revote of Pleo that put Pleo back within 1 of the lead behind fubbles and ahead of Astral.
The most striking thing about the bandwagon on SisC (which maxed out at 4 votes with Pleonast’s 530, never quite amounting to a real challenge to Astral’s lead) is how easily it evaporated again. But the motives are not easy to untangle:
pedescribe replaced the vote with what I think was a better one on Pleonast
Hirka did the 4x vote Pleo stuff, which is just weird
Astral thought better of self-preservation
Pleonast moved to fubbleskag instead (with the smudge that pedescribe pointed out)
(Ha! Your wish is my command, Normal).
Stand out points: Pleo could have voted either Astral or SisterC on the grounds of self-preservation, but chose SisterC. Had also spoken out against lynching Astral right away.
Hirka was all over the map. He made 5 votes on Day One. The fact that his tieing vote also pushed Pleo back down may become interesting depending on what fluid has to say. However, he then undid this in post 649, once fubs was in the lead.
Again, assuming that fluid has a good lead on Pleo, the rush to fubs by Tom Scud, Weedy, and Silver Jan will need to be looked at as possibly defensive.
NETA: Stanislaus post makes me realize I lost track of a SisC vote somewhere at the end (it’s in the list, though, weedy’s vote), and she actually did come within 1 vote of Astral. (Although that danger level was rapidly erased when townie fubbleskag voted Astral right afterward.)
I can’t entirely make sense of Hirka’s two votes as being in defense of anyone, despite that motives can be imagined for Pleo, Astral or even both of them. At the moment it’s just filed as “weird”, but I want more information. At some point I’ll have to go grab his posts.
[/QUOTE]
Fubs claimed at 648 btw. Hirka’s vote move fubs -> pleo was the very next post.
Fixing my mistake:
And weedy unvoted directly to put fubbles at 6 votes, instead.
Thanks, Tom. I’d forgotten that fubs claimed at all.
Can you please restate your reasons for your vote (or at least link to them), so we don’t have scan through many pages to find it? Especially because you didn’t even vote for them YesterDay.
You, too. Please restate or link to your reasons. Presumably you want others to look at them.
I’ve already made my claim and explained myself. Accept it or not.
You obviously know I am not scum, or else you would’ve simply announced that and voted for me. I’ve already stated such and there’s no other information I’m willing to reveal at this time. Use your own best judgement as for what to reveal about me.
If you are being truthful, it was probably a mistake for you to reveal even what you already have.
Because a claimed power role has a good pro-town reason for preserving their life over that over a claimed vanilla.
It’s all of two pages back, Pleo, nor was it exactly hidden away.

Also, you haven’t claimed at all, Pleo. If you want to say you refuse on the basis of what fluid has to say, then do so, but an implication that you are a town power role is not a claim.
Pleonast, if you will kindly point me to the post where you have described your role and power, I would greatly appreciate it.
