Geography size quiz

Without looking it up try to answer these questions;-

Which is bigger-

  • Alaska or Mexico?
  • Greenland or India?
  • Antarctica or Canada?
  • Brazil or the Contiguous United States (excludes the states of Alaska and Hawaii)?
  • France or Chile?
  • Iran or Indonesia?

The answers -
Mexico
India
Antarctica
Brazil
Chile
Indonesia

I got them all correct except for the last one. I chose Iran.

All are guesses. I’m usually really good with geography, but I think I’ll be around 50% right on this.

  • Alaska or Mexico?
  • Greenland or India?
  • Antarctica or Canada?
  • **Brazil **or the Contiguous United States (excludes the states of Alaska and Hawaii)?
  • France or Chile?
  • Iran or Indonesia?

Edit: Yay! 5/6 (stupid Canada should be bigger)

Hey, we’re already bigger than one continent (Australia), so stop complaining.

It’s deceiving, because Canada is so big-boned.

Missed the last two.

**Chile ** really surprised me-- I thought it was tiny.

Well, we’ve got HUUUUGE tracts of land!

Canada/Antarctica threw me, because Canada is the 2nd biggest country.

Antarctica is not a country. :smack:

Our mountains are very pointy/
Our prairies are not/
The rest is kind of bumpy/
But man, do we have a lot!

I tried to claim it, but a penguin told me to fuck off.

I missed Brazil vs. the lower 48.

5/6 isn’t too bad.

They can get a little pissy.

Alaska
India
Canada
Contiguous US, but not by much. Or maybe it’s vice versa?
Chile
Indonesia because it has a fuckton of islands

I assumed Indonesia was a trick question. Guess it wasn’t. Got the rest right.

Missed the India/Greenland question.
