George C. Scott's reaction to the new Adam Sandler movie

I’m…having trouble figuring out if it is or not. I mean, there’s a trailer, and an IMDb entry, and a couple news articles on it, but I’ve seen more information on movies scheduled to come out in a year or two than this one, and it’s slated for release three months from now.

I really, really hope it’s a joke. I would have thought Sandler was too smart to go with a shitty ‘comedy’ idea that’s so old and played-out that even Eddie Murphy is getting tired of it. I mean, I think You Don’t Mess With The Zohan is a genius movie, but this looks not just terrible, but horrific.

“In Theatres November 11th.”

Henceforce, this anniversary shall be a solemn and sombre occasion.

removes hat, allows a single manly tear to fall

I’m sure it hit him like a football in the groin(for which he got the Oscar).

Seriously? They managed to secure the 11/11/11 date?

Well, anyone can release anything any day they want.

I don’t imagine that these kinds of comedies cost much to make.

Lower costs mean someone is more inclined to “risk” making the film, and it doesn’t take as much of an opening weekend to recover costs.

So no: cheap screwball comedy that rehashes material older than our grandfathers will probably never go away.

Witness The Change-Up, in theaters now!
