Hmmmm, it seems George C. Scott is not an Adam Sandler fan.
Here he is viewing the trailer for Sandler’s new movie.
Lots of copycat videos in the suggestions sidebar, but I think the George C. Scott video is the original and, IMHO, the funniest.

I’m far less surprised that George C. Scott (who was after all a founding member of the ‘Anything for $100,000 Bucks’ School of Screen Acting) rose from the dead to critique the movie trailer than that Al Pacino agreed to do this movie while he was still alive.
Hey! “Hardcore” was well worth $100,000. Especially the Season Hubley peepshow.
Okay, maybe she earned the $100k.
Having seen the trailer, I’m not 100% sure he really is still alive.
What the hell is that YouTube video all about? Is Scott actually promoting the movie by making that video? I don’t get it. In the clip, Scott’s response to the inane shit-flick “Jack & Jill” is very realistic. I mean, what other reaction can a sane adult have?
Yet his acting (Scott’s) is over the top so it seems as if he was paid to make the spot in support of the awfulness that is an Adam Sandler film.
What gives?
I have no idea what movie it’s from, but it looks like it’s footage from a dramatic George C. Scott movie recut to make it seem as if he’s watching that godawful Sandler movie. And it’s fucking hilarious.
It’s very similar to the Downfall videos, just with a little more effort put into it than simple subtitles.
The movie the clip was from is, as mentioned above, Hardcore. George C. Scott has been dead for over a decade.
It’s from the movie “Hardcore” where George C. Scott finds out that his daughter is in porn.
OK, that is one movie I have got to see. According to the Wikipedia entry, it has characters called “Big Dick Blacque” and “Jism Jim.”
I was wondering what film the George C. Scott footage came from. I knew it wouldn’t take too many posts before someone mentioned it.
It would work better if they did some manipulation of the trailer, so it looked different. For example, we often see light from the projector, implying that strobe effect. But it’s never present during the trailer. Also, a small border and pseudo film grain flaws would help immensely. Heck, tweak the color a bit, since it looks like older movie technology.
Everybody’s a critic.
You know what would be great? If they used footage from the old George C Scott movie Hardcore for this.
And if they used “Rio” for the soundtrack!
Yeah, but just once. In 1960. For twenty minutes.
Waitaminit - that’s a real movie that trailer’s for? Jack and Jill? Really?
FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU…

I thought this site was dedicated to fighting ignorance. I think who ever is leading the fight is losing
:dubious:
Is Jack and Jill a real movie that’s coming out? When I watched it I was reminded of the fake trailers from Funny People. Please tell me it’s just Sandler making fun of those kinds of movies he used to star in. Please.
I hope the plot includes a hill and cranial damage.
