George On Seinfeld an Only Child?

Everyone I talk to seems to think George is an only child. Yet I can clearly remember him in two episodes (I can think of) of him saying he had a brother. He claims no one in his family will pay for parking not his mother, father, brother. Also he claims his brother impregnated someone.

Are there references in Seinfeld to indicate he was an only child too?

“A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.” - Walt Whitman.

Even Star Trek has its inconsistencies, so certainly Seinfeld is allowed to. Hell, Jerry’s father changed appearance markedly after the first couple of seasons, to become Barney Martin!

Regarding George’s siblings, yes, those quotes do sound familiar. They were probably from early seasons when George even had a (shudder) JOB, so he certainly could have had something as mundane as a brother in those days…Timmy

Maybe he disappeared to the Island of Discarded TV Family Members. He could be there with Ritchie and Joanie’s older brother (Chip or Chuck); Hawkeye’s sister and mother; and other characters, seen or unseen, that are dump from the continuity of various TV shows. I hear they even have a leper colony populated entirely by unwanted castoffs of soap operas.

Do any of the quartet have siblings? I can’t remember any ,offhand, though it’s been while since I watched the show regularly.

Whoah! Good point, CyberPundit! Maybe the fact that all four of them suffered from “lonely child” status explains their maladjustments. They all had at least one parent show up (Elaine’s dad, Kramer’s mom) but nary a sib…Timmy

In the very first episodes of Seinfeld I also remember a different guy playing Jerry’s dad.

George does have a brother
