George R R Martin’s “The Way of Cross & Dragon” is one of my favorite stories, one that I’m surprised was never turned into a movie. (Probably too cerebral, not enough action). I thought there was a sequel to it, but I haven’t been able to find one. Does anybody know if a sequel exists?

It wasn’t turned into a movie because it’s extremely rare to turn a science fiction novel into a movie unless the author’s name is Heinelein, Dick, Herbert, or Sheckley.
AFAIK, there is no sequel.
It was a short story, not a novel, but I think he wrote other stories in that same setting, or at least expanded on the one that I read.
I think that a movie of that story would run into a large amount of protest from Christians. Get lots of free publicity, at least.
