German Spring Shoe Design

Would anyone happen to have the design schematics to the German Spring Shoes that were made and tested (later to be discarded) spring shoes? I’m currently taking up the task of trying to design the Spring Heeled Jack’s Jumping Shoes. As of now, I’d rather not leek my ideas out, but I could certainly use the old German shoe design for referance.

Thanks,

If anyone has any ideas or anything such as please feel free to post here.

So far I’ve pretty much established that shoes like Nike’s Boings won’t help your jumping height/length. We’d need to place the springs or jumping aides at the point where the feet would take the most presure. I assume the best place would be at the start (from the toes to the heel) of the arch in the middle of the foot. Problem with that is if the user would kick off with too much force the ankle could easily be broken. Therefore it would be in the best interest of the user to place a “brace” that joins the toe to the shin area that would stop the front of the foot to bend upwards which could result in the dislocation of the ankle and the hyperextension of the lower leg muscles.
