I came across this website, http://www.paidsurveysonline.com a couple of weeks ago. Basically what you do is pay a $39.95 fee and then after that you get offers to fill out surveys for companys that will then pay you. It says you can do as many surveys or as few surveys as you want depending on how much money you want to make, and at the end of the month you recieve a paycheck. If this isn’t a gimmick then it sounds like a really neat thing. Has anyone had any experience filling out surveys for money? Is it a gimmick or will I get spammed and bombarded with things that they’re trying to sell me? I’d appreciate some more info if anyone knows anything!
While I have no experience of this company, I’d be wary of any site that asks you to pay a “joining fee”. You could well find that (a) you get bombarded with spam (that’s pretty much a given) and (b) the surveys could be very few and far-between - enough that you’ll never even make back what you paid.
I am signed up with a free survey site, called Lightspeed. You don’t get paid, but you do get entered into prize draws, and you get more entries the more surveys you complete. Some draws have cash prizes, others have vouchers and so on. I have not won cash but I have had a few £10 and £20 Amazon vouchers, which are effectively cash I suppose. I don’t get too much junk mail through this scheme either (or rather, I get so much from other sources that it makes no difference).
To be honest, though, I’ve been fairly slack with doing any surveys in the last few months.
The web site reads like a scam to me. It promises much and guarantees little if anything. How may companies do you think will pay out hard cash for someone to fill out a survey and how much would the pay max/per? Didn’t find anything specific on, <Snopes.com> but that varies with query.
Scam.
I take part in several onling surveying organizations. One has me earn points that let me get CDs, DVDs, magazines, and other items. Another gives me a token fee ($3-5) for any survey successfully completed. The third pays me nothing. All three have a sweepstakes where you can possibly win a serious amount of money ($1-10k).
None require I pay anything.
Legitimate surveys are paid to survey people. Nearly all give the participants either an actual payment, or a way to earn points, or a sweepstakes. They never charge people to take part.
Most likely, you’re $39.95 will give you a list of online surveys you can join up with yourself. Don’t bother.
