Getting bookmarks/favorites from one computer to another

I have a lot of Favorites bookmarked on my work laptop, and I’m leaving this job soon. I’d like to transfer them temporarily to my home computer, and then when I get my new job, get them onto that computer. The computer at my new job probably won’t be a laptop, if that makes any difference.

Anyone know how I can do this?

What Operating system and what Browser?
In XP for Internet Explorer there is a folder that holds all of your favorites.
The path is normally
C:\Documents and Settings*Your user profile name*\Favorites

Good Luck.

Online bookmark keeper. Might be worth a shot.

In IE - File, Import and Export, Export Favorites.

To go the Import/Export route, once I have exported the favorites to a folder (using Win XP Professional, with IE version 7 browser), how do I get it to the other computer? I tried to attach the Favorites folder to an email message, but it won’t let me. I can only attach each one individually, which would take me all day. Can I burn the folder to a disc then import it directly to the work computer from the disc?

Yes, the folder is probably even small enough to fit on a diskette.
Another option is to Zip the folder and email the Zipped file.
Ususally you can right click on the folder and choose SEND TO then Compress (zipped) Folder.

Bingo! Thanks.

It doesn’t export to a folder, it just puts all the links into an HTML page, which can be imported on the new computer. You can send the HTML page as an attachment, or copy and paste the contents to an email as text.
