I’m trying to renew my subscription and do not have a PayPal account. I have renewed using this system several times before but this time I am getting this page when I hit the PayPal button:
It says “Sorry-your last action could not be completed”

What kind of device are you using, what kind of browser, what operating system?
I just tried it (System 7, Chrome) and got to the Online Payment page without any difficulty. On this page you can either pay for your subscription with a PayPal account or if you do not have one click on the hyperlink that says “Don’t have a PayPal account?,” which takes you to another page and another prompt.

Okay, I just used IE and it went through; I’m good to go for another year.
I kinda thought the problem might be related to the site being offline for sometime yesterday. (It was offline for awhile, right?). This was the first time I’ve ever had any problem renewing. I guess it could be the FF 11.0 upgrade.
Anyway, Miss Diva, Colibri, and Musicat, thank you all for your help.
I think we can blame most everything, including the price of gas, on yesterday’s outage.
At one point the message board would display pages but it didn’t update, so any action initiated on the site (writing posts, renewing subscriptions) wouldn’t process. That would account for Paypal rejecting the transaction, they weren’t getting the proper response from the database, so the transaction wasn’t going through.

Yeah, I think about it every time I renew, but a one cent savings isn’t enough to convince me, and I don’t know what the future holds. I’m sure Ben Franklin’s shaking his head, though.
